John Suiter John Suiter is the author and photographer of Poets on the Peaks (Counterpoint Press, 2002), the story of Gary Snyder, Philip Whalen, and Jack Kerouac during their fire lookout summers in the North Cascades of Washington State. In February 2006, John moved from Boston, where he had lived since 1981, to Pennsylvania. He is presently settled west of Philadelphia in the watershed of Ridley Creek, on the outskirts of Media, PA. He is at work on a biography of Gary Snyder, under contract with Shoemaker & Hoard Publishers, of Emeryville, CA.
